Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has revealed that midfielder Casemiro is fit to feature against Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Thursday.
The Brazilian ace suffered a horror head injury during a collision with Fulham attacker Harrison Reed. The player was bleeding from the head and had to be substituted as a precautionary measure.
It was initially thought that the 32-year-old might miss out but the fans will be pleased to hear the manager’s recent update on the player.
While speaking to the club’s official website, Ten Hag said:
“So it was bleeding, so he had to come off. It was not to our advantage that he couldn’t continue the game. But he’s available for tomorrow.”
His return will be a huge bonus for the team since the former Real Madrid star has formed a solid partnership with Kobbie Mainoo in the centre of the field.
United need to get back to winning ways after their latest defeat against Fulham in the Premier League.

They need to make sure that they are in contention to win the FA Cup title and also finish in the top four spot in the league table.
Casemiro and Mainoo have formed a vital pairing for the Red Devils this season. The former has handled the defensive responsibilities while the latter has commanded the midfield well.
Scott McTominay is a second option in case either of them gets injured. However, the Scottish star is less effective in midfield.
He has been more of a super sub and his goal scoring pedigree has helped the club come out of tense situations in the past few games this season.
