As per the Manchester Evening News, if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani completes a takeover of Manchester United in the near future, the club could potentially provide manager Erik ten Hag with six additional signings during this summer transfer window.
The Glazer family, who are the current owners, are still considering their options regarding a potential sale of the club. A quick decision on this matter could enable Ten Hag to realize his ambitious plans for transfers at United.
Despite rumours suggesting the Qatari banker may walk away due to frustrations over delays in the sale of United, both Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain potential buyers at this moment.
It is reported that Sheikh Jassim could inject £50 million into the club’s budget by addressing the substantial debt accumulated under the Glazer ownership.

Additionally, United hopes to generate up to £100 million through player sales, with Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Fred, Donny van de Beek, and Anthony Martial among the players potentially available for transfer.
United could significantly increase their £125 million budget if they are successful in their pursuits, allowing Ten Hag to secure six targets following the arrival of Mason Mount from Chelsea.
The club is currently engaged in advanced discussions for the transfer of Andre Onana, with expectations of reaching an agreement with Inter Milan this week. With David de Gea leaving after 12 years and Dean Henderson likely to follow, Ten Hag reportedly desires a second goalkeeper as cover.
Reports from Japan suggest that United are close to a £5 million deal for 20-year-old Urawa Red Diamonds goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
A striker, specifically Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund, is the next key target for Ten Hag, with a potential pursuit worth £50 million.
Similarly, Ten Hag is also looking to bolster the midfield following the arrival of Mount and has shown interest in Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat.
If Fred and McTominay were to leave, it would create space for another midfielder in the squad, and the club has shown interest in a highly-rated Moroccan player.

There are also uncertainties surrounding Maguire’s future, leading to reports that Ten Hag has approved a pursuit of AS Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi.
The ability to make additional transfers beyond Mount, Onana, and Hojlund would largely depend on player sales. However, if successful outgoings occur alongside investment from Sheikh Jassim, it would assist Ten Hag in realizing his transfer ambitions.
