Erik ten Hag could hand a new start to Donny Van de Beek at Man United

As reported by The Sun, Manchester United loanee Donny Van de Beek could get a second chance if Erik ten Hag signs for the club this summer.

Ten Hag is rumored to be United’s top choice to succeed Ralf Rangnick, with a deal most likely to be announced in the coming weeks. The Dutch manager has gained attention throughout his time at Ajax, winning two Eredivisie and KNVB Cup titles.

His achievements with Ajax have earned him the opportunity to manage Premier League heavyweights Manchester United. And if he takes over as expected, it will be wonderful news for Van de Beek, who was one of his favourite players at Ajax.

Ralf Rangnick and former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer both ignored the midfielder and he spent the majority of the season on the bench. Because of his lack of opportunities, he was loaned to Everton in the January transfer window.

He has become a crucial player for Frank Lampard since being released from United’s grip, starting all five Premier League games for the Toffees. Van de Beek appears to have earned a second shot at his parent club after showing his ability to handle regular top-flight games.

It is now reported that, if Ten Hag decides to sign for Manchester United, he would bring in Donny next year. During their time at Ajax, the two developed a very close bond and he was a key member of his title-winning squad.

Who knows, Erik could help Donny unlock his full potential at Manchester United next season.
