Marcus Rashford’s man of the match performance against Barcelona in the Europa League earned him high praise from Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils dominated the first half of yesterday’s match at Camp Nou, but Barcelona’s Marcos Alonso scored the game’s first goal in the 50th minute.
United quickly fought back through Rashford. The England player struck an aggressive shot from a tight angle that beat Marc-Andre ter Stegen at his near post.
The English star contributed significantly to the team’s second goal, which was scored seven minutes later. Jules Kounde’s own goal was made possible by his precise cross into the six-yard box.

Raphinha was able to bring Barcelona back into the game towards the end, but United will be happy with the outcome since they easily could have won by two or three goals.
Speaking after the game, Ten Hag praised Rashford’s outstanding performance and said that he is “so unstoppable” at the moment.
As reported by the club’s official website, the gaffer said:
“He is so unstoppable at this moment, such a high belief for scoring goals, which we are happy with of course. But credit to the team as they get him every time in the right position.”
Following the World Cup, Rashford has been in fantastic shape. He has now scored 22 goals for the club this season.
United supporters will be hopeful that he can continue his incredible run since he has now tied his best-ever goal total for a single season.

United outplayed Barcelona in the first leg, and they should be favourites the following week.
Given that the Red Devils have won 13 of their last 14 matches at Old Trafford, they should be confident about defeating Barcelona in six days.
Rashford will play a key role once again in the second leg. The England star is now having the best season of his life and should never stop scoring.
