Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has introduced wrong-footed training sessions in order to strengthen his player’s weaker foot.
The club have taken exciting steps under the new manager to make sure that the players benefit from the best facilities. The Red Devils were lacking left-footed players in the squad and the gaffer made plans to recruit players who fulfill that criteria.
The board decided to sign left-footed players like Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez and Antony this summer. This decision has brought a positive impact within the squad as the competition for places have intensified.
The arrival of Casemiro has also brought in more character in training sessions and the manager has also been successful in bringing out the best from players like Diogo Dalot and Scott McTominay.
The Manchester Evening News has claimed that the new wrong-footed program will be conducted after the commencement of the main training session. This would be the latest change brought in by Ten Hag after he had also shifted the dugout’s position and placed it close to the spot where his players do the usual warm-up practice.
Ten Hag also encouraged set piece practices in training and he has demanded discipline and efforts from the players. The club has also ended their pre-match stay tie-up with The Lowry Hotel under the request of the manager.
Many of these changes have come up after several United players were found guilty of leaving the stadium before full-time whistle in a friendly match against Rayo Vallecano in July.
