Erik ten Hag impressed by his player’s International performances

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag praised his player’s International performances during the short break. He emphasized on the quality shown by players like Luke Shaw, Christian Eriksen, Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Casemiro and others.

The Red Devils will face Manchester City today and the players will be in high spirits after putting in brave displays for their nation. These performances have come up at the correct time as Ten Hag can make the best use of their fitness levels.

Dalot scored twice for Portugal, whereas Fernandes and Ronaldo were also bright with their gameplay. Fred and Casemiro were dominating the midfield region for Brazil and Eriksen was also similarly impressive for Denmark. Even out of favour left-back Lule Shaw scored a good goal for England against Germany.

The gaffer spoke about his players and praised their International contributions during the short break last month. Speaking to the club’s official website, before the clash against the Citizens, Ten Hag said:

“I think we are happy with all the players because they did well with the nations, and we followed them because that is one of our aspects. All the players did well for their nations and Diogo [Dalot] scored twice, Bruno [Fernandes] played well twice, Casemiro and Fred played well and did their jobs.”

“Luke Shaw played really strong against Germany and we saw a lot. We are happy with the performances from our players.”

Ten Hag will now face Pep Guardiola, the manager under whom he worked as an assistant at Bayern Munich. United will now face a stern test at the Etihad Stadium after they defeated tough opponents like Arsenal and Liverpool in their previous encounters.

A win in this match will further solidify their place in the top four of the league table and keep them close to the top spot. Ten Hag will focus on making the best use of his players ahead.
