As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United star James Garner has joined Frank Lampard’s Everton on a permanent basis. He has signed a four year contract with the Premier League side and will stay at Goodison Park until the summer of 2026.
The deal has cost the Toffees a fee of around £15 million and there is no buyback clause included in the deal. United have added a 20% sell on clause if the player decides to switch sides in the future.
The English midfielder is a dynamic player who can contribute both in attack and defense. He made his senior debut on February 2019 against Crystal Palace. He was again sent out on loan to Watford in the following year but he failed to mark an impression.

He was subsequently loaned to Nottingham Forest for one and a half year and this move turned out to be a game changer for the player and the club. Garner played a key part in lifting the team to the Premier League and it was enough to convince Ten Hag to give him an opportunity in the pre-season games.
However, the 21-year-old didn’t have enough minutes under his belt and the board decided to let him leave rather than restricting him to the bench. Everton were leading the race to sign him and Lampard has finally signed a key player for their underwhelming squad.
The versatile midfielder will hope that he can help the club end their shambolic run in the Premier League this season.
