Everton vs Manchester United Player Ratings | EPL 2020-21

Manchester United have got back to winning ways after an impressive display against Ancelotti’s Everton side at Goodison Park. Bruno Fernandes starred in the Red Devils victory as he scored a brace and also set up Cavani’s first goal as a Manchester United player. Luke Shaw along with Fred and McTominay also had a good game and helped United get over the line again a strong Everton side.

Let us now have a look at the ratings of the Manchester United players who played a part against Everton tonight.

DAVID DE GEA – 7

David De Gea had a good game overall even though he conceded a goal in the first half. It was very difficult to stop the goal as it came from between Wan-Bissaka’s legs and nestled into the bottom corner.

VICTOR LINDELOF – 6

Though the Swedish defender had a good game overall, his aerial inability was again on the show tonight. He made a few risky passes and was dominated in the air against Calvert-Lewin for Everton’s goal.

HARRY MAGUIRE – 8

Harry Maguire had a great game tonight as he was supreme in the air and neutralized Everton’s set-piece goalscoring prowess. He passed well out of the back and had a commanding game did the United captain.

LUKE SHAW – 8

Luke Shaw had another great day at the office as the left-back galloped up and down the left flank and registered an assist. Unfortunately for him, he endured a hamstring injury and is likely to be out for a few weeks now.

AARON WAN BISSAKA – 6

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was defensively secure and confident as always but could have stopped the Everton goal. He was great for the rest of the game though and looked solid defensively.

FRED – 7

Fred had another good game for the Red Devils in the Premier League, as he covered almost every blade of grass again. He was solid in the middle of the park and kept the United side ticking.

SCOTT MCTOMINAY – 7

Scott McTominay had a really good game in the middle of the park against Everton and distributed the play for Manchester United. He was solid defensively and was crunch with his tackling and is slowly cementing his place in the side.

BRUNO FERNANDES – 10

Bruno Fernandes was back at his best for Manchester United as he scored a brace and also registered an assist for Cavani’s goal. He was influential in every part of the pitch and could have had a few more assists, had Rashford scored.

JUAN MATA – 6

Mata’s inclusion has raised eyebrows once again, as the veteran looks clueless in the top level. He barely got involved in any of the attacking patterns United produced and failed to trackback.

MARCUS RASHFORD – 6

Marcus Rashford was wasteful in front of goal as he could have scored a couple of goals but failed. He was suffering towards the end of the game with a shoulder injury.

ANTHONY MARTIAL – 7

Anthony Martial had a good game overall as he kept the ball and brought others into the game. The Frenchman had one golden chance but scuffed his lines.

SUBSTITUTES

PAUL POGBA – 7

Pogba looked good as he came on in and around the 70th minute mark in place of Mata. He kept the ball and moved it well but did little to create chances.

AXEL TUANZEBE – 7

Axel Tuanzebe came on for an injured Luke Shaw and did well on an unnatural position. He added a physicality to United;s defence and kept the backdoor shut.

EDINSON CAVANI – 8

 Edinson Cavani came on to score his first goal for Manchester United and will hope that it will be the first of many.
