Fabrizio Romano gives “here we go” for Van de Beek

It was earlier reported that Van de Beek and Ajax have agreed on a deal taking the player to Manchester United this summer. The Dutch midfielder has been linked to the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid but has lately agreed on personal terms with United. It is now reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that a deal has taken place as United bid €40m plus add-ons.

The 23-year old midfielder is one of the best young midfielders in the world and has attracted a lot of attention from big clubs. Last night it was reported that Van de Beek had told his teammates that he was about to join United and now a deal has been agreed. The pace of the deal has been staggering and the credit for that has been given to Edwin Van Der Sar.

Van Der Sar is the CEO of Ajax, who is also a United legend and loves the club. It has also been reported that Tottenham tried to table a late bid, but Matt Judge quickly reacted by placing United’s bid, which was accepted. This deal has also shown that United can do quick deals if they want to.

Manchester United have finally secured their first signing of the transfer window and must quickly complete other priority signings as well.
