Manchester United and their pursuit of Raphael Varane is still not complete and transfer guru Romano Fabrizio has said that there is nothing official between the club and the player.
With the Jadon Sancho transfer saga going to be completed soon, United fans could be waiting to hear something new. Raphael Varane is one of the club’s top targets in this summer transfer window and a few reports even describe that an offer has been made as of now.
United have been linked with a host of other targets but Varane seems to be the best deal for Solksjaer. He has all the qualities required to win titles.
The Real Madrid defender has only one year left on his present contract at the Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid club is reportedly prepared to sell their star defender if the right offer is made.
In any case, reports of an official bid may have been still on a halt, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano currently offering a report on the current Varane situation.
Romano while talking to Stretford Paddock, said: “At the moment, there is nothing official going on between Manchester United and Raphael Varane. There are talks with his agents, who also represent Trippier. United have a good relationship and are talking directly about opportunities”
Varane is supposed to be one of the few center-back targets on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wishlist yet whether the club is set up to burn up all available resources for a player with only one year left on his current contract stays not yet clear.
In a hit to United’s plans, The Times has revealed that Real Madrid will try their best to provide a new contract for Varane and make him stay at Real Madrid after it was reported that Sergio Ramos was leaving the club.
Varane to Manchester United will be similar to the Sancho saga and if United wants to grab his services then they have to be quick to place a correct bid for him.
