The Red Devils signed 18-year old Facundo Pellistri on the last day of the summer transfer window. On his latest talk with Futbol.uy Pellistri expressed his emotions of joining Manchester United as well as leaving his home town in Uruguay.
Facundo Pellistri is a talented young right-winger, who is known for his pace and skills on the ball, in Uruguay. Diego Forlan helped Manchester United sign Pellistri and also convinced the youngster to join the Red Devils, snubbing Lyon. The winger is ecstatic on joining Manchester United and couldn’t contain his excitement in his talk while boarding his flight to Manchester.
He said: “It is incredible, just a little over a year after making my debut in the Primera. It was unimaginable to play in the first division with Penarol and now to do it at Manchester United, I would never have dreamed of it and it is something very emotional for me and my family.”
Facundo Pellistri will reportedly come into the first-team squad directly and is also in the Champions League squad. The 18-year old will be expected to come good for the Red Devils in the long run and will have to do his best to stamp his authority.
