According to the Mirror, Uruguayan starlet Facundo Pellistri could be looking for a permanent move away from Old Trafford as Manchester United failed to stand on their promise.
The 22-year-old joined the Premier League giants from Penarol in 2022 for a fee of around £7.65m. However, since then he has made only 24 appearances for the Red Devils and has registered two assists.
During the past two years, he has been sent thrice on loan. Two times to Spanish side Alaves and now to Granada. However, his current club aren’t performing well and are placed at the 19th spot in La Liga.
As per Penarol secretary Evaristo Gonzalez, Man United had promised Pellistri that he would be directly incorporated into the starting XI when he was signed during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign.

However, two years down the lane and situation seems entirely different with the player being handed his debut only in January last year under Erik ten Hag.
The South American is frustrated by his current situation at the Theatre of Dreams and is open to seal a permanent move this summer. Pellistri has played seven games for Granada (scored once and assisted twice).
The major stumbling block will be that the 20-time Champions would want to recoup the fee they paid for the youngster when he was signed from Penarol.
But looking at Granada’s current situation, it seems highly unlikely that they will meet United’s asking price if they get relegated at the end of the season.
The winger might be forced to look for other options and consider his future once he returns to ten Hag’s squad this summer.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team are working on a major overhaul and will be open to clearing the deadwood to ease the strain on the wage bill.

Pellistri might find it difficult to get a chance to play at Man Utd since players like Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and even Amad Diallo are ahead of him in the pecking order.
It remains to be seen what would be the club’s decision on this matter and whether the youngster will be successful in moving to a new club in the upcoming months.
