La Liga duo FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are claimed to be eyeing up Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani ahead of the January transfer window.
The veteran forward has seen his first-team berth at Old Trafford come under great threat following the high-profile arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer from Juventus.
Cavani has fallen down the pecking order and rumours are doing the rounds that the Uruguay international could be in line to call it quits as early as January window interest high from elsewhere in landing his signature.

According to reports from The Sun, a cash-strapped FC Barcelona side are looking at Cavani as a top name on their shopping list with the Spaniard enduring a crisis start to the new season amid mounting troubles on the injury front.
Ronald Koeman’s side will be given a stern challenge by arch-rivals Real Marid who have also zeroed in on the 34-year-old Cavani as a potential transfer target for January to bolster their attacking roster.
