Fernandes and Pogba can do great things together

Bruno Fernandes has very quickly become Manchester United’s talisman even though he joined the club in January. His partnership with Paul Pogba in the midfield, in the post lockdown time, helped United secure a third-place finish in the Premier League last season. In his latest talk with Sky Sports, Bruno talks about his relationship with Paul Pogba off the pitch and how Pogba has influenced his game.

Bruno Fernandes has enjoyed his time at Manchester United, especially his midfield understanding with Pogba. But according to football pundit Jamie Carragher, both of the midfielders can’t play together as it disrupts the balance of the team. The former Liverpool defender believes that Pogba and Fernandes are both attack-minded and don’t help the United side defensively, leaving spaces in the midfield.

In his recent interview, Fernandes said: “I have a good relationship with him on and off the pitch. I know him from Italy already but now I have the chance to be in a team with a World Cup winner. It’s always a pleasure being in a team with him because I can learn a lot from him, and he can learn a lot from me. Together we can do great things.”

Fernandes and Pogba have done very well on the pitch for Manchester United, making and scoring goals. The experience of Pogba has helped Fernandes and the Frenchman looks to be back at his best. Solskjaer would hope this partnership to continue for several seasons as these midfielders are arguably Manchester United’s best players.
