As earlier reported, Flamengo will pay a part of his salary and will not pay any loan fee to Manchester United. If a sale goes through in the future then United will receive 20% of the sale.
Both the player and the club wanted this move to happen. Andreas Pereira was struggling with game time at Old Trafford. The United academy graduate made his first senior appearance in 2018 and since then managed to score only four goals in 75 appearances.
He was loaned out to Lazio last year but still, he was unable to make an impact in Italy. Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri wanted another loan move for the player but the club was only interested in entertaining permanent deals and not loan ones.
Andreas Pereira, himself was open to the move and he said that he will love to play at Fenerbahce.
But finally, Flamengo was the quickest to act and have agreed on a deal with Manchester United. The negotiations have gone pretty quickly.
The move will be a great piece of business for both the teams and Solksjaer will be hoping that Pereira gets more experience in Brazil. Getting some regular game-time is a must for the young attacking midfielder.
