Manchester United new signing Donny Van de Beek hasn’t had the best of starts to his career with the Red Devils. The Dutchman still hasn’t started for the Red Devils in the Premier League, despite coming up with good performances whenever he has played for the club. In his recent talk with Voetbal International, Dutch national team manager, Frank De Boer, has encouraged Van de Beek.
Donny Van de Beek has created a lot of stir in the media because of his selection at Manchester United. Many believe that he was wrong to join the Red Devils and Solskjaer doesn’t understand the value of the Dutchman. But when it comes to the national team, Van de Beek almost plays every game these days, to great effect.
In his interview, De Boer said: “Of course I try to give him as much confidence as possible, I also showed that by letting him play against Italy. He did a pretty nice job. He is also doing well at Manchester United, but they have a fantastic midfield. That’s difficult too, but Donny will still get to play enough.”
The Dutch midfielder has done everything to prove his worth to Solskjaer, but the Norwegian hasn’t yet given him a start in the Premier League. He has been fairly consistent for the Red Devils and will surely get his start in the Premier League sooner rather than later. Till then, the Dutchman will be expected to work hard in training and impress United’s coaching staff and Solskjaer.
