Fred condemns social media abuse by stating it as unacceptable

Manchester United midfielder Fred says “we can’t take care of that culture” in the wake of being racially manhandled via online media following Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final loss in the hands of Leicester City.

The 28-year-old got various harsh messages on an Instagram present in the wake of gifting a chance to Kelechi Iheanacho in the development to Leicester’s first goal in the 3-1 loss. Fred is the most recent United player to be focused on, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Axel Tuanzebe likewise exposed to comparable remarks and abuse on social media lately.

Fred took to Twitter on Monday to post: “Social media comments filled with hate and, above all, racism: we cannot feed that culture. We cannot accept it. We have to fight it always. We are bigger and better than that. Enough!”

Manchester United as of late denounced the maltreatment directed at their players by stating it as “mindless idiots”, while Rashford a month ago asked online media organizations to make a more grounded move against those behind this horrendous crime.

Fred has been performing well for United, his recent match against AC Milan proved his class as he played with perfection and helped United enter the Quater-finals of the Europa League. He also won the Man of the Match award for his incredible performance. Still, a mistake like this one that he created against Leicester has been taken in a very cruel manner. There has been less support for the player online and more abusive comments.

A true United fan will always feel that the player is capable to give more to the team. We all say no to racism.
