Galatasaray eyeing a move for two Manchester United fringe players

According to Turkish outlet Aksam, Manchester United are reportedly open to negotiating the departure of left-back Alex Telles to one of his former clubs as part of a potential double deal.

Telles, who has returned from a loan spell at Sevilla, is currently seeking a new club as he only has one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.

While a move to Benfica has been ruled out, there is still interest in Telles from other clubs. Galatasaray are now monitoring the situation and considering a potential move for the Brazilian defender.

Telles, who previously played for Galatasaray between 2014 and 2015, is now being targeted by the Turkish club for a potential return.  The Turkish side sees Telles as a suitable candidate to fill their vacant left-back position.

The financial details of the potential transfer are yet to be determined, but Galatasaray are looking for a permanent deal.

Telles featured in 38 matches for Sevilla last season but failed to score for the Europa League champions. However, at Man United, he is currently behind Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia in the left-back pecking order.

Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing another United player, Anthony Elanga, as they aim to strengthen their attacking options on the wings.

Elanga, who is just 21 years old, has shown promise during his time in the United setup, but his progress has recently stalled.

In the 2022-23 season, he failed to score in 26 appearances across all competitions, with only five Premier League starts. This suggests that he may benefit from a new challenge to reignite his development.

A loan move could be beneficial for Elanga to regain momentum in his career, and the Turkish outfit are considering making an offer. They believe that the Swedish international has the potential to make an impact in their squad.

The Red Devils still hold a contract for Elanga until 2026, giving them time to decide whether to loan him out for a season. It is unclear at this stage if Galatasaray would request an option to sign Elanga after the potential loan spell.

Regardless, it seems likely that he will have to leave Old Trafford temporarily for the first time in his career ahead of the upcoming season.
