A lot of Manchester United youngsters have left the club on-loan to get much-needed game-time and improve their standards. James Garner is one of the most talked-about youngsters in the United youth set-up and is held highly in the eyes of Solskjaer. It is now being reported by Manchester Evening News that Garner has joined Watford on-loan for one year, to play in the Championship.

James Garner has been touted to move out of United this summer since the beginning of the year, seeing his progress in the Premier League 2. Garner was also ever-present in the first-team squad’s training at United and even earned appearances for Manchester United. In total, Garner has appeared seven times for Manchester United’s first-team and has performed well whenever called into action.
His move to Watford will mean that Garner will get more minutes playing for the first-team in the Championship. The 19-year old had attracted several clubs, but United decided on Watford as the club assured of Garner’s developments. The Red Devils will be delighted if Garner returns as a better player and starts competing for a place in the starting XI.
James Garner is expected to excel at Watford, as his style of play is very similar to that of Michael Carrick, who is a United legend and the current first-team coach.
