Through his latest tweet, Gary Neville has slammed the club’s players for appearing tone-deaf after their disappointing Champions League defeat by the hands of Atletico Madrid.
The Red Devils were defeated 1-0 at home by Diego Simeone’s side, thereby ruining their chances of winning any trophy this season. Their chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season also appear to be fading away.
The row was started by Carragher’s fellow pundit Gary Neville, who was criticizing United players after they were seen at UFC, cricket, and boxing events around the world after their humiliating loss to Atletico Madrid, as he described them as “tone-deaf.”
I remember a time when United players , managers , executives wouldn’t be seen in their local Italian after a draw at home let alone getting knocked out of Europe. This last week we’ve seen a global tour of F1 , Concerts, Cricket and UFC events. This lot are Tone Deaf!

Interim manager Rangnick visited Barbados to see England’s cricket match, while co-owner Avram Glazer attended the Bahrain Grand Prix. Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford were also seen partying around.
He then put up another tweet after one of the fans said to him that they are also humans who need to live their life outside work. Neville said that they should enjoy but quietly.
No they are . They can go on holiday , relax , take time off. However if you’ve been knocked out of the Champions League , FA Cup , League cup and floundering in the League I wouldn’t think it’s too much to ask to lie low a bit !! https://t.co/oRZnnIJWJJ

Different supporters will have different opinions on this, but Neville knows what it takes to succeed at Old Trafford, so his thoughts may have some merit.
Even though we talk about the players and the manager’s life outside work, you can’t resist the fact that the club has been very poor this season. Since 2017 we haven’t won a trophy and that should bring a spark within the players to turn it around next season.
A top-four finish is still in our hands but for that, we need to win consistently and leapfrog Arsenal to fourth place in the league table.
