Aaron wan Bissaka opened the scoring for Manchester United in their 9-0 riot against Southampton and fans have gone haywire after the match.
This was the second time in two seasons that Ralph Hasenhüttl’s team is facing such a disastrous result. Southampton bounced back stronger last season after conceding such a defeat and we will have to see if they can do the same thing this time around.
Gary Neville has sent a humorous congratulatory message to Aaron wan Bissaka and also reminded fans all over that it had been 10 years to the date of his official retirement from football.
It was only befitting that a right-back opens the scoring for Manchester United on such a memorable day and what a game it turned out to be.
10 years ago today I retired ! What a tribute that is from @awbissaka 😂

Southampton went a man down after 2 mins and Manchester United never looked back after that. Aaron wan Bissaka and Luke Shaw have been proving their talent more consistently in recent times. Both the full-backs combined well together to break the deadlock against the Saints. Luke Shaw has seemed to regain his form ever since Alex Telles has arrived at the club. There is now healthy competition for the spot which has forced players to raise their game.
Even though the wing-backs look really secure for now the centre-backs are one position where Manchester United would definitely want to look at for getting further reinforcements. A solid defensive base will help Manchester United mount a sustainable title challenge.
There is still a long time for the season to get over but Manchester United looks in a really promising place right now.
