Wales national team boss and Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs have spoken about United’s new signing Daniel James, the 21-year-old has been capped 4 times by Wales and it was Ryan Giggs who gave James his international debut.
The summer signing from Swansea has made an electric start to his Manchester United career, he has started three of the first four Premier League matches of the season and is already the club’s joint-leading scorer. His national team boss has been impressed by his premier league start, in an interview he said,
‘Dan has got off to a great start with his Manchester United career, but he’s also been brilliant for us in the last few games, especially in the summer under difficult circumstances. I’ve not been surprised [by his impact for United], he’s had a good pre-season and, when you sign for a new club, that’s what you want.
‘When you score, it gives you a lift. It doesn’t matter who you are in the world or what kind of ability you have. Confidence is everything and it builds. ‘We all know what he’s capable of, what he’s done, especially over the last eight or nine months, he just keeps getting better and better.
‘He’s at the right club, Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] will know how to look after him and know when to play him. ‘It’s a club where they love wingers and players who can excite fans. I’m pleased for him and he’s got the right character. He’s at the right club with regard to keeping his feet on the ground.’
Dan James looks set to start his third Premier League game in a row for Manchester United when they host Leicester City after the international break.
