Glazers set final price to sell the club amid growing interest

Manchester United owners the Glazer family has finally set a price tag amid reports that there are several parties interested in buying the club.

As reported by the Daily Mail, they have slapped a minimum amount of £3.75 billion and it would be open to start negotiations if they receive an interesting offer. It has been no secret that Manchester born billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning a takeover at the club and had already made plans to launch his first bid.

Being a United fan, it will make sense for the English businessman to complete his dream of owning one of the biggest clubs in England. Interest from Dubai has also emerged lately.

The sum is a mammoth one to cover as it could rise to £5 billion. The Glazers had brought the club in 2005 for £790 million. But they have failed to lift the club in the post Fergie era.

The Red Devils are also suffering from a huge depth due to leveraged buyout. With new stadium development fans running through the mind of the Glazer family, it will throw a big question on their ability of handle more debts and create a mockery of United’s present situation.

The fans have protested against the Glazers time and again and the owners are in big pressure to sell the club even if it starts by selling a small stake at the club.
