Manchester United and the club captain, Harry Maguire have had a rather bad start to the season this time around. Both, the club and the captain have also taken their fair share of bashing by the media pundits and ex-footballers. But in his recent post-game interview, Maguire didn’t hold any bars saying his heart out about what he felt about the constant criticism the club faces.
Harry Maguire was heavily criticized by the media, not just for his performances on the pitch and also off it. After his Mykonos incident, he was thrashed by English media as well as from football fans all over the world. His dismal form at the beginning of the season also didn’t help his cause as he gained even more criticism.
In his recent interview, Maguire said: “At this club one thing I’ve noticed in my time here — I’ve been here a year and a half — is we are the most talked-about club in the world. Why? Because we are the biggest club in the world. People don’t want us to do well. Why? Probably because of the success we’ve had in the past.”
Harry Maguire has done well lately and has led from the front for the Red Devils in the recent past. There is no doubt to the fact that Manchester United is the biggest club in England and thus the most talked-about club in the world. The players of the club must stay positive despite constant stick from the media.
