Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is reportedly working on becoming more vocal on the pitch but is not concentrating on the prospect being named as the club captain.
The Red Devils broke the bank in the summer transfer window when they decided to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City and they made the Englishman the most expensive defender of all time in a blockbuster £80million deal.
The 26-year-old is looking quite positive on the pitch for his new club and Solskjaer has already considered the option of making Maguire the captain after his impressive displays in the new season. Although the results and performances have been disappointing from Manchester United, Solskjaer believes that his club is improving and fixing United is no quick task.
But Maguire is prepared to take on added responsibility as a Manchester United player in order to help the club progress as he is aware that he can improve on certain aspects of his game is he wants to be given a better role at the club in the near future.
Maguire has established a solid partnership at the heart of the United defense alongside Victor Lindelof and the English star spoke to the clubs official website saying that he wants to exercise his leadership qualities on the pitch, “It’s something I still want to improve on, my leadership qualities on the pitch and, especially, my talking, I want to demand more from the players, demand standards, but I’m obviously not concentrating on that at the moment. I am fully focused on improving the team and getting this club back to where it should be.“
