Henderson Has A Bright Future Admits Solskjaer

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed goalkeeper Dean Henderson to carve out a successful career at Old Trafford tipping him for a bright few years ahead.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper played a starring role in Sheffield United’s promotion to the Premier League last term and has featured in all 12 top-flight games for the Blades so far this campaign conceding only nine goals so far.

Although the young English goalkeeper will miss Sunday’s clash with Manchester United at Bramall Lane because he is not eligible to play against his parent club Solskjaer has no doubt that he will enjoy a fruitful career with the 20-time English champions.

Henderson has still not played a first-team game for the Red Devils but while speaking to Manchester United’s official website, Solskjaer had only positive words for his on-loan goalkeeper hinting that he will return to Old Trafford one day between the sticks. “Sheffield United and Chris Wilder have had a big impact on him because he’s learning, he’s growing as a human being and as a player, and He’ll come back one day and will have a good career at United.

At the moment, David De Gea is occupying the number one spot at Manchester United between the posts and the Spaniard is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in world football. Therefore, it would be difficult for Henderson to push De Gea out of his place instead he could build up confidence and experience and become the 29-year old’s successor at the Theater Of Dreams.
