Hirving Lozano’s former agent provides hint on United transfer

According to Hirving Lozano’s former agent, Alessandro Monfrecola, the Mexican will leave Napoli next year and sign for a premier League giant like Manchester United.

Lozano has been in Naples ever since he transferred from PSV to the Italian club three years ago for over £40 million. He signed a five-year contract, therefore his current one will expire in 2024. The winger has scored 20 goals in 95 appearances for Napoli.

The 27-year-old has previously been linked to a transfer to the Premier League, with the Red Devils being linked quite frequently. Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that during the summer transfer window, Lozano was “offered” to the Red Devils. The club spent a lot of money this summer as Erik ten Hag spent a whopping £216 million in his first few months as manager.

Since Jadon Sancho had already joined the team and there was a new right-winger in the form of Antony, the inclusion of Lozano was never going to materialise.

Although the Mexican winger dreams of joining Real Madrid or Barcelona, his former agent has said that a future move to Manchester United is possible.

As reported by the Mirror, he said:

“Next June, Lozano will leave in my opinion, also because he earns over four million at Napoli. Although he is delighted to be here, he has never hidden that he aspired to the top English clubs, although now he is probably realising that Napoli itself is a top club.”

“He has never hidden that he loves Barcelona and Real Madrid, but unless [Carlo] Ancelotti falls in love with him again, he has no market. I think he could land in Manchester United or Everton.”

Napoli are in great form this season and are coming off a huge 6-1 victory away to Ajax. Although Lozano didn’t had much to contribute even from the bench, there are chances that the winger may force a move.

With six victories and two draws from their initial eight games, the Italian outfit are now atop Serie A. Luciano Spalletti’s team has a perfect record at home and has won their last three Champions League group stage games.
