Ighalo Wants To Make His Manchester United Debut ASAP

Latest Manchester United signing Odion Ighalo is “desperate” to make debut for the club and will be included in the squad to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this week.

The Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the former Watford striker would be in the frame to feature in next Monday’s Premier League against the Blues in a bid to focus on reaching the top four in England’s top flight.

On loan from Shanghai Shenhua, Ighalo’s deadline-day addition to the Theatre of Dreams was quite a surprising one. However, with Solskjaer’s attacking options cut short in the absence of the injured English attacker Marcus Rashford. The addition of the 30-year-old Nigerian attacker will mean that Solskjaer has the option of adding an experienced forward to bolster his front line.

With Ighalo’s services available until the end of the season, the 46-year-old Norwegian manager explained that his new arrival will be making the trip to West London as Ighalo has been included in the squad to face Frank Lampard’s Chelsea. Solskajer confirmed that he needs to identify the fitness levels of the African and wants to integrate him into the team as Ighalo himself is eager to play for the red side of Manchester, “He [Ighalo] is going to travel with us [to Chelsea], We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp. We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”
