Inter Milan are eyeing Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof as a direct replacement for Milan Skriniar, who is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that Inter are considering their alternatives for the center-back position and are looking at Lindelof as a potential replacement.
The Swedish captain moved to United from Benfica in 2017 for a fee of £31 million. Over the previous six years, he has served the Red Devils admirably, appearing more than 200 times.
Under Erik ten Hag, Lindelof has dropped down the pecking order as Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have established a strong combination at the centre of the defence.
Inter are exploring options to replace Milan Skriniar in case agreement will be reached with PSG to anticipate the deal in January. 🔵 #transfers

Four centre backs are now battling for Erik ten Hag’s two starting positions. World Cup winners Varane and Martinez have excelled this season. They ought to continue to be United’s first-choice defensive pairing in the upcoming campaign.
Harry Maguire has made it obvious that he does not want to play a supporting role. The likelihood of him replacing Varane or Martinez is quite slim unless one of them is injured.
Ten Hag will want Lindelof in his team if the England international decides to leave. The 28-year-old is a respectable back-up choice. He recently showed his worth when the coach rested Varane and allowed Lindelof the chance to play against Nottingham Forest in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semifinal clash.
He is skilled with the ball, yet he is decent aerially. Ten Hag cannot afford to lose both Maguire and Lindelof during the same transfer window.
Also, Varane requires extra care because he is prone to injuries and has poor fitness. Any harm to the Frenchman will limit Ten Hag’s choices at the back. Inter Milan’s offer will also have an impact on Lindelof’s exit. United may be able to sell the defender if they can make a profitable deal.
