According to Teamtalk (as per the Manchester Evening News), Serie A giants AC Milan are plotting a move for Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat this summer.
The African star joined the Red Devils last summer but has failed to live up to the expectations of the fans. Hence, it is unlikely that the English club will trigger the option to sign him permanently this summer.
Amrabat displayed his talents to the world with the World Cup performances for Morocco. United fans were excited about the physically driven and quick midfielder but thinsg haven’t worked out for him at Old Tarfford.
He has been on the bench for the majoirty of the games this year. Hence, the player might be looking forward to find a new club and leave Fiorentina for more opportunities. Milan are said to be keen admirers of the defensive midfielder.

Clubs like Liverpool, Barcelona and Juventus have also expressed interest but the Serie A side are more serious in this deal. They are looking to provide a more defensive approach to Stefano Pioli’s side.
The player has a chance to return to Fiorentina but his contract will end next year and that might make him consider a fresh move. Amrabat has flourished in Italy and hence, moving to Milan makes sense for the 27-year-old.
Man United will be happy to part ways since they have found their own midfield prodigy in Kobbie Mainoo. The young English ace has received lots of plaudits for his mature performances for the Red Devils this season.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team wants to build the team around the 19-year-old. Scott McTominay is another option available for them but they are likelty to sign a new midfielder to pair with Mainoo.
They will be better adapted to use McTominay from the bench afetr watching him provide impactful displays as a substitute this campaign.
It remains to be seen who would be Amrabat’s replacement for Man Utd in the upcoming months.
