Injury Update

Jadon Sancho expected to recover from injury in good time to face Newcastle United

Jadon Sancho had reportedly suffered a “minor knock” during a training session with the England national team, which resulted in him missing out on the squad’s incredible victory over Hungary, with a score of 4-0, on 3rd September.

This also led to him being pulled out of the English squad and thus has resulted in him being omitted from international duty for the time being, as The Three Lions face Andorra on Sunday, 5th September and further head to go against Poland on Thursday, 9th September.

Manchester United had earlier signed Sancho on 23rd July 2021, having acquired him from Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund, where he proved his worth as a significant prospect. He made his premier appearance for the club at a home game on 14th August against Leeds United as a substitute for Daniel James.

Recent reports claim, that the 21-year-old is expected to recuperate and feature in the United squad against Newcastle United on Saturday, 11th September.

The Manchester City Academy product has been praised for his creative and technical skill on the pitch and also engaging in feints, a particular skill of outwitting an opposition player and gaining an advantage.

Having spent around 1 month since his transfer, he has played a total of 131 minutes in three games for the club and so forth is expected of adding more appearances, goals and assists to his name.
