Following United’s thrilling 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City on Saturday, Jadon Sancho quickly congratulated them on Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo’s goals in the first half of the match at Wembley Stadium which sealed United’s 13th FA Cup victory making it a stunning upset victory.
Josko Gvardiol , Man City defender, made an error early in the game that let Garnacho score United’s first goal with a simple tap-in. In the build-up to the second goal Rashford was instrumental. He found Garnacho who found Bruno Fernandes with a fantastic 70-yard pass. At the back post Fernandes found Mainoo who slotted the ball past City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega with ease.
United’s strong defense held strong in the face of Jeremy Doku’s late goal for City guaranteeing a memorable victory over the Premier League winners. Rashford was spotted crying as he enthusiastically applauded United supporters after the victory.

For Rashford this season has been difficult. He inked a lucrative new five-year contract last summer but he hasn’t been able to repeat his goal-scoring ways. Rashford also had an internal disciplinary case to deal with in January following an unapproved trip to Belfast that resulted in him missing training.
He has been a member of the club since he was seven years old but this incident raised questions about his dedication to the organization. Rashford however, responded to his critics by defending his commitment to United. Rashford’s season took a turn for the worse when he was left out of England’s provisional squad for the forthcoming European Championship.
