Many goals have been scored by Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo since leaving the Spanish capital, but few would argue that everything has gone according to plan for the Portuguese player.
Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 games following his move to Juventus, but he also played a part in three heartbreaking Champions League losses. Additionally, he was present when Juventus lost the Serie A championship for the first time in ten years.
Ronaldo has scored 24 more goals for Manchester United since his return to the Premier League, but he was only able to lead them to a sixth-place finish. He did not participate in much of the preseason this summer because he was looking for a new club.
According to SkySports analyst and former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher, he never quite understood the striker’s reason behind going back to Old Trafford. His statements were carried by the Metro, as he said:
“I always thought he was a bizarre signing. I always felt this situation would come, even if Ronaldo did great for you. He signed a two-year deal plus another year, which I couldn’t believe, and he’s never going to play second fiddle to anyone, but as players at a certain stage in their careers, we all know that you’re not the same player. “
“But it doesn’t look like United can get him out, so at the moment, other clubs don’t want him. And I think if you asked Ten Hag, I don’t think he wants him. “
Atletico Madrid fans were undoubtedly not in favour of watching him play for their club. Ronaldo was linked to Los Rojiblancos, and they made it very obvious that they didn’t want him at the Metropolitano.
It seems unlikely that he will have another chapter in Spain, regardless of whether he can find a destination this summer or make peace with the Red Devils. With other clubs also giving up on the striker, the striker and his agent would have no option but to stay at the club.

Ronaldo has been a legend for Manchester United, but at this moment he would need to accept that the club are slowly pushing themselves to the top and it would require him to put his faith in the club and the new manager.
