Former Tottenham player turned pundit Jamie O’Hara has been critical of Solskjaer’s chances of surviving a major sack in the upcoming matches. Manchester United travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in search of a very crucial victory.
Solskjaer and Manchester United’s disappointing story started from the match against Aston Villa in which they were marginally beaten. Their draw against Everton and a loss against Leicester City further piled up the pressure on the manager.
Things became worse against Liverpool as they suffered a 5-0 defeat against their bitter rivals. The news of the manager getting sacked started making rounds.
The United management and the owners themselves have given a second chance to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and that second chance will be against Tottenham Hotspur.
Jamie O’Hara who once played as a Tottenham player during the 2007-08 season has talked about how crucial the next game is for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
While having a chat with talkSPORT, he said:
“He has to win this game. I look at the fixtures and they have Atalanta next week and then they’ve got Man City at Old Trafford. I look at this game and think it’s a must-win because I can’t see them getting a result against Atalanta or Man City, so this one is the one that they’ve got the win.”
“I look at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and I know it’s a bit of a pile on with Manchester United, it is the talking point so far of the season so it hasn’t been good enough so far this season.”
Manchester United then travels to Atalanta and then they have to play against their most fierce rivals and one of the strongest teams in the League- Manchester City.
It is more difficult for United to get good results against these two teams and if Solskjaer fails to even deliver the results against Tottenham, then he is close to getting sacked by next week.
