Jesse Lingard has been struggling to get some quality game time at Manchester United. He was once hailed as the future of Manchester United as he burst through the scenes with some exceptional performances.
Since all of that he has had to face some difficulties on as well as off the pitch and that has hampered his growth to a large extent. This window has seen more departures than arrivals for Manchester United.
The Jesse Lingard loan move may be just the thing that was required for him. He may get some much-needed game time at the Hammers as he has lowered down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Lingard told West Ham TV: “I’m excited. It’s another new chapter in my life. Nothing is guaranteed but I’ve come here to work hard and help the team and bring my experience”
Lingard reunited with his former Manchester United boss David Moyes at West Ham and will play out the remainder of the season with them. With Lingard being one of the fringe players at the club there were several clubs waiting to secure his services. Sheffield United was also in advanced pursuit for a long time but a move to West Ham finally transpired.
West Ham has also confirmed a permanent deal for Said Benrahma who had been on loan at West Ham this season. West Ham is proving to be a real threat and even pushing for European qualification this season as they currently sit at 5th position with 35 points and are ahead of Tottenham, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa.
