Manchester United FC are currently in the lookout of a centre-forward this summer transfer after signing Donny Van de Beek from Ajax. The Red Devils have been previously linked with the likes of Josh King, who graduated from the Manchester United academy. But in a talk with TV2, Josh King has admitted that he wanted to return to Manchester United, especially in January.
In January, when the Red Devils were in the lookout of a striker, they were heavily linked to Josh King. The Norwegian international plies his trade for Bournemouth and is reportedly very close to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Manchester United tried to sign him in January but instead signed Odion Ighalo, which made King upset, as he had a chance to reunite with United.
In his talk with TV2, he said: “I will not lie, because I really wanted to go there in January, but what happened, happened”. King also added “I know why things happened. We’ll just have to wait and see. There is a lot that is open. What if United are still interested? That would be amazing. I was at United for five years and I learned lot there.”
It was earlier reported that United are still looking to sign him and it is very likely if a deal for him happens in the near future.
