Manchester United FC were linked with signing Paulo Dybala in January in the search of an attacking midfielder. But the Red Devils backed off a deal and instead chose to sign Bruno Fernandes, who has been United’s talisman since then. It was earlier reported that Juventus wanted to sell Dybala, and now Tuttosport reports that the Italian club want a swap involving Pogba and Dybala.
Andrea Pirlo has taken over the reins from Sarri who was sacked following Juventus’s crashing out in the Champions League. Pirlo has played with Pogba in his Juventus days and rates the World Cup-winning Frenchman very highly. Pirlo also wants Juventus to get recruits to enhance their chance of winning the Champions League.
Pogba has reportedly been at his happiest and also wants to commit his future at Old Trafford, as reported earlier. But, with contract talks yet to begin, Pogba might be tempted to reunite with Pirlo and play with the likes of Ronaldo and De Ligt. Although it is very unlikely for Pogba to leave Old Trafford, Pirlo will still try his best to lure Pogba to Turin.
United could surely do with signing Dybala for cash though, as the player has the quality, experience, and will be available at about £80 to £90m.
