According to the Mirror, Lazio have expressed interest in signing Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, who has fallen out of favour at the club.
The African defender is also being offered to clubs in Saudi Arabia as his contract with United runs until 2024.
Last season, he was on loan at Marseille in France but made only 23 appearances across all competitions, failing to meet the criteria for a permanent transfer.
Bailly, who joined the club from Villarreal in 2016, has struggled to find consistency throughout his career. With his contract set to expire next year, it would be wise for United to find a buyer for him sooner rather than later.
The Ivory Coast star’s underwhelming loan spell at Marseille likely means he won’t be given a chance by manager Erik ten Hag, especially considering the presence of more reliable and consistent centre-back options in the squad.

His erratic performances may not contribute to a winning mentality in the team’s changing room. It remains to be seen which club will make an offer for Bailly.
Lazio, who finished second in Serie A last season, could be looking to strengthen their squad for a potential Champions League campaign.
Saudi Arabian clubs have been actively acquiring players from European clubs this summer, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they expressed interest in Bailly. Given their financial resources and ambitious plans, anything is possible for them.
