Lazio is reportedly willing to sell midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a player who has been linked to Manchester United for several years.
The Red Devils had shown interest in Milinkovic-Savic last summer after finding difficulties in signing Frenkie de Jong.
However, United considered Milinkovic-Savic too expensive back in 2018 when he was valued at €100 million. Last year, Lazio quoted a lower fee of €68 million (£57.5 million), leading to considerations of a potential deal at Old Trafford.

Despite their initial interest, United ultimately shifted their focus to signing Casemiro. Nonetheless, they are now expected to be in the market for a midfielder again this summer, particularly as Milinkovic-Savic’s Lazio contract is set to expire in 2024.
During an interview with Sky Sport Italia, Lazio’s director of sport, Igli Tare, acknowledged the possibility of Milinkovic-Savic leaving the club.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he said:
“For the good of everyone, we will sit around a table and clarify this,” Tare said. “What I say for me is also valid for him, he has a strong bond with Lazio, and he admires and respects the club and coach. Anything can happen, including a sale to another club.”
This indicates that Lazio may be open to selling him in the upcoming months. Meanwhile, Ajax coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly aiming to acquire a top-class striker and midfielder this summer, with Harry Kane being his primary target.
Given United’s struggles in scoring goals this season and Kane’s impressive record of 28 Premier League goals, the English striker is of significant interest to United.
