Leicester City vs Manchester United: Match Preview

Manchester United will travel to the King Power Stadium as they face Leicester City in a tough contest on Saturday. After United’s draw against Everton, a week prior, Solskjaer and his men will be eager to snatch out all three points from the host.

Man United return from the International break with some fresh energy. Our trio of French players, Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba, and Raphael Varane lifted the UEFA Nations League trophy. Varane meanwhile, was injured in the finals and couldn’t play the whole 90 minutes.

Currently Manchester United stands at fourth place in the Premier League table. They were top of the table a few weeks back but then a defeat against Aston Villa and a draw against Everton led them to slide behind three spots to fourth.

Meanwhile, Everton has won just two of their seven PL games this season. it has been a worrying sign for Brendan Rodgers, whose team has now failed to win four consecutive PL games this season and is desperate to add all their points to their tally to lift them up from their current 13th spot.

Leicester City vs Manchester United: Head-to-Head

Manchester United has the upper hand in this column as they have played 133 matches against the Foxes and winning 68 of them. 30 games were drawn and Foxes grabbed 35 wins.

Surprisingly their last two wins came up against our last two clashes with them in the PL and the FA Cup. Our last match against Leicester City was played on the 11th of March in which Leicester City won by a 2-1 scoreline thanks to goals from Soyuncu and Luke Thomas.

Last season, Manchester United was also eliminated from the FA Cup by the hands of Leicester City. United will look to avenge for all the losses as the Foxes are currently looking out of form.

Leicester City has a long injury list with many of their key players unable to make it to the pitch on Saturday. Wesley Fofana and Nampalys Mendy are still sidelined and are unlikely to return early. James Justin will also be out and their midfield maestro Wilfred Ndidi is also expected to miss out.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United player Johnny Evans could mark a return. Kelechi Ihaenacho is also a major doubt

Injured: Wesley Fofana, James Justin, Nampalys Mendy

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Ihaenacho

Opponent Key Man: Jamie Vardy

The danger man who has threatened every team that plays against Leicester City. The King Power Stadium is a paradise for Jamie Vardy and he is known to score world-class goals at their own ground.

This season, the lethal striker has scored six goals and provided one assist in just 10 appearances. The only reason that Leicester City is getting points at the death is because of this man. You cannot write him off at any moment of the game and his pressing rate is just magnificent.

With our key center-backs injured, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof have to be on their toes in the entire game to make sure he doesn’t trouble them.

Our Prediction for the match: Leicester City 1-2 Manchester United

We favour Man United to win as Leicester is currently looking out of shape. Solskjaer and his team will be carving out a win here but it will not be an easy one for them.
