Scott McTominay is deemed to fit start Saturday’s showdown at the King Power Stadium as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United aim to go second in the league table with a win over hosts Leicester City.
McTominay had been in flying form last weekend during the Red Devils’ 6-2 victory against Leeds United in the derby game at Old Trafford, however, fitness concerns had been raised over the midfielder prior to the lineups being announced.
Solskjaer had made a number of changes to his XI that defeated Everton 2-0 in the midweek EFL Cup tie, and some tinkering is evident in today’s lineup as well, with the in-form Edinson Cavani dropping down to the bench.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are both expected to lead the frontline for the visitors alongside Welsh international Daniel James.
There is no Paul Pogba in the starting XI for the Boxing Day fixture as the Frenchman is relegated to the bench to accommodate the midfield trio of Bruno Fernandes, Fred and McTominay.
Here is how both sides lineup for the upcoming Premier League fixture:
