According to Calciomercato, Liverpool has joined the race to sign Manchester United target Youri Tielemans next summer.
The Belgian midfielder has just one year remaining on his current contract. It is unlikely that the Leicester City star will extend his contract with the former Premier League champion. And starting in January, the 25-year-old will be free to speak with possible suitors outside of England.
Tielemans, however, might sign a bargain contract in January with any Premier League team. The former Anderlecht midfielder is being pursued by Real Madrid and Juventus as well.
United have completed the acquisition of two midfielders. Early in the summer, the team signed free agent Christian Eriksen. The Danish national had previously spent a brief time with Brentford.
Also joining United from Real Madrid is Casemiro. For the past several seasons, the Brazilian has been among the top defensive midfielders.
The Red Devils’ midfield zone has undoubtedly been enhanced, but supporters believe the team could use more talent. In their time at the club, players like Fred, Scott McTominay, and Donny van de Beek failed to win over the fans.

In his time playing in the English top division, Tielemans has won over many fans. The Belgian is one of Leicester’s top creative players. The Foxes, on the other hand, are stuck in a bad form and are at the bottom of the league standings.
Any of the top teams in Europe would benefit from having the 25-year-old star. It is unknown if Tielemans would join the Old Trafford team during the forthcoming transfer windows.
