Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw took the centre-stage yet again.
The English star delivered another assist for his team against Iran and in the process, he has now contributed with five-goal involvements in the past five games for England. Gareth Southgate named Shaw in the starting XI for their first World Cup match against the Asian side. The 27-year-old put in a delicious cross from the left flank and Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham was present at the right place to head it in.
Statman Dave has now provided a statistic explaining Shaw’s impact since the Euros 2020.
