Luke Shaw seems to have resurrected his career ever since Alex Telles has arrived at the club. He seems more confident on the ball and is forming a formidable wingback partnership along with Wan Bissaka.
Luke Shaw made a 30 million move to the Red Devils in 2014 but has struggled in his tenure at the club due to regular injury issues. Under Mourinho, one could see the lack of confidence that Shaw had in himself.
Mourinho wasn’t one to shy away from criticism and would openly put Luke Shaw under the scanner on several instances. Luke shaw has opened up about his strained relationship with Jose Mourinho.
Shaw spoke to BBC before their win against West Ham and said: “It was a very hard time because sometimes I wasn’t able to get my word across or people were only hearing it from one side of the story”
Mourinho may be considered as a master tactician and Manchester United’s last piece of silverware came under him but many have openly questioned his man-management skills.
Towards the end of his tenure as Manchester United’s manager, many of the players were unhappy with him because of the unrest that he had created in the dressing room.
Many of the players are much more pleased with Ole’s man-management skills and they feel that he always looks out for what is best for the team rather than just berating a single-player or looking for excuses.
We have seen the likes of Shaw, Pogba and a few others find their feet once again, and hopefully, this will result in something more meaningful shortly. Shaw has already bagged 5 assists this season and could very well be in contention for a spot in England’s national team if he can continue to keep up his form.
