Luke Shaw was an integral part of Manchester United’s first team last season and was one of the best left-backs in the league. But the Englishman has been out with injury since the last couple of months and has missed the latter stages of the Europa League. United have struggled since Shaw’s injury but it has been reported that he will be fit to start the Premier League.
Luke Shaw has been vital for United and Solskjaer as, as the left-back is one of the players to have covered the maximum distance per game. Shaw has provided the much-needed drive down the left flank of United and has even helped the growth of Rashford. Without Shaw, Rashford has found it hard to create chances, as Shaw’s replacement, Brandon Williams is inexperienced.
Now it is being reported by the Athletic and Laurie Whitwell in specific that Shaw is now fit to start in United’s first game in the Premier League next season. It was earlier reported a couple of weeks ago that Shaw had stepped up his recovery to fitness and has now reached his target. It is also expected that he will play tomorrow’s pre-season game against Aston Villa to get minutes under his belt.
Luke Shaw’s fitness will be music to Solskjaer’s ears and he will be expected to perform like he did last season.
