For a long time, it felt that several players in Manchester United were just going through the motions and the others were not consistent enough but there seems to be a sudden surge and determination in the dressing room again.
This is reflected in their unbeaten streak in the Premier League. Luke Shaw recently spoke about his return to form and how the people around him have been a massive boost.
Luke Shaw stated that Alex Telles the new recruit has helped him take his game to the next level as he realizes that there is a tough competition for his spot and he has to constantly keep up his form, as was evident in the goalless draw at Anfield on Sunday.
Alex Telles has also managed to put in some good performances whenever he has gotten a chance and was one of the most influential players in the FA Cup game against Watford.
“I feel really good, obviously big credit to Ole for that. Alex [Telles] as well, we have a great relationship and he pushes me each day in training."

Love this team spirit, @LukeShaw23 ❤#MUFC #LIVMUN
This kind of healthy competition is a good thing for any team and gets the best out of players. Even De Gea’s performance has become better ever since Dean Henderson has re-joined the club after his loan spell at Sheffield United.
Despite having a bad start to the season one can see the shift in mentality with some of its top players finding their feet again and the atmosphere just seems to be really good on the field.
Ole has also told a few of the fringe players that they better prove their worth or look out for other options. Not only will it help them in reducing the load on their wage bills but also help give a signal to all the other players to perform consistently.
