As revealed by The Athletic, new Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada has already started meeting the club officials while on a gardening leave from Man City.
Berrada is working closely with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s team to know more about the club’s internal process and their structure.
The current Man City chief football operating officer has great experience in managing transfers and contract deals. He has been covering the work for City and their partner groups from several years.
Berrada was instrumental in securing Erling Haaland’s signing in 2022 and also acquiring several top class talents.
The news of his signing has already brought a lot of joy to the fans who finally believe that the club is moving towards the right direction.

Ratcliffe is determined to reconstruct the management from the base to the top. The INEOS chief will be making all at the sporting decisions at the club after successfully acquiring a minority stake at the club.
He is also eyeing Newcastle United’s Dan Ashworth for the sporting director role.
Currently, Patrick Stewart is the interim CEO of Man United. He has been the temporary hier for Richard Arnold, who was sacked following the breakdown of his relation with the Glazers.
Meanwhile, Berrado has started discussions with the United board regarding the upcoming summer transfer window.
