According to the Sun, Manchester United are expecting Rasmus Hojlund to be available for the upcoming match against Nottingham Forest this Saturday.
The Danish international striker has been undergoing individual training sessions since his transfer from Atalanta. This was in an effort to regain full fitness after sustaining an injury during his preseason preparations with his former club.
Manager Erik ten Hag has praised Hojlund as a ‘unique striker,’ and now, the player is set to rejoin full squad training, possibly making him a substitute for their next Premier League match.
So far this season, United have only scored once, with Raphael Varane netting the winner in their 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, but they struggled to find the net in their recent defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

United could greatly benefit from Hojlund’s striking abilities at this moment, and the Danish player is eager to show his Premier League quality.
In the two matches played this season, Marcus Rashford has been the primary striker, although the English forward has openly expressed his preference for playing on the wings.
Another option for the number 9 role is Anthony Martial, but the Frenchman has only seen five minutes of playing time in competitive games this season.
Hojlund participated in private practice matches against Everton and Burnley, but his performance didn’t impress as United suffered a 3-0 defeat at their Carrington training base.
The current situation highlights United’s need for Hojlund’s contributions.

Additionally, there’s a possibility of adding another midfielder to the squad before the summer transfer window closes, especially considering the struggles of their midfield trio in the first two games of the season.
They will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium before heading to the International break. If Hojlund doesn’t make it onto the field this weekend, he is likely to make his Premier League debut against Arsenal in that fixture.
