Man United face setback as Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen out with injury

As reported by ESPN, Manchester United faced another injury setback on Saturday as Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund had to be substituted due to injuries in the Premier League match against Luton Town.

Despite securing a second consecutive league win, the Red Devils’ performance was less than stellar, with Victor Lindelof’s lone goal securing the victory.

Eriksen, who fell awkwardly before halftime, left the field in the 40th minute, replaced by Mason Mount. Hojlund, later in the game, seemed to be holding his hamstring and will undergo further assessment in the next 24 hours.

As United enters the November international break, their next league fixture against Everton at Goodison Park on the 26th is approaching.

There is a likelihood that both Eriksen and Hojlund may withdraw from international duty with Denmark, with the primary concern being the severity of their injuries.

Man United have faced challenges in the season’s early stages, and losing Hojlund would be a significant blow, especially considering his crucial role as the team’s main striker.

Despite not scoring in the Premier League yet, the former Serie A ace, who had promising chances in a recent match, is seen as a player with immense potential.

With a track record of five goals in the Champions League, he is expected to adapt to the English top flight soon.
