Man United keeping close tabs on RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo

Manchester United has a wealth of attacking options at their disposal in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, and Edinson Cavani. But still, United is searching for more opportunities to increase their attacking power.

As per journalist Christian Falk, the Red Devils have now set their sights on RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dani Olmo.

Former Dinamo Zagreb attacker Dani Olmo joined RB Leipzig in the year 2020 for just £20m which was a great bargain considering his potential.

Till now, he has played 64 matches for the German outfit and has contributed to 26 goals which is a great number. He has three years left on his present agreement with the club, but the reports suggest that the young Spanish attacker is already pulling a lot of interest from some of Europe’s top teams.

Surprisingly, Dani Olmo had begun his career at Barcelona but was soon released in 2014. As he has been developed into a lethal attacker, Barcelona is considering bringing him back to the club.

But the current situation of the Spanish club does suggest the fact that it will be a less attractive option for Dani Olmo to join a financially affected club. They are already trying to cope up with the loss of Lionel Messi.

This brings in two Manchester clubs- Manchester United and Manchester City into the race. Both Guardiola and Solskjaer will be looking to capitalize on this situation.

Manchester United has Bruno Fernandes who has a similar role as Dani Olmo. But as Paul Pogba continues to disagree with the club over a new contract, United may look to link up Dani Olmo and Bruno Fernandes together and change the tactical set-up.
